What's A. Whitney Brown doing now? I haven't heard a peep out of him since he left The Daily Show back in 1998.

Hey there - You want to talk coincidence? I ran into A. Whitney Brown in Texas while on a trip. I couldn't remember his name right away, so I didn't approach him. ( Just tried to stare at him unobtrusively until I could remember his name.) I remembered the day after we got home. Anyway, he doesn't appear to be working for anyone, I've spent the last three days researching him, and trying to figure out why a comedic genius would seclude himself in Southern (Africa Hot) Tx. It seems to me that since he claims to be the one who introduced Chris Farley to Heroin, that maybe guilt killed his creative juices. Whaddya think?

Whitney, just last month, married Carolyn Wonderland, a Houston-born & Austin-based blues-rock guitarist & vocalist. She plays a smokin' slide guitar & has a voice reminiscent of the late Janis Joplin (also from Texas), so I guess Whitney is still in Texas. She tours constantly. Toronto Blues Festival. Japan. etc

i just saw him in new york city a few days ago. he;s still doing comedy/political satire. he's committed to doing fundraising work for democratic and other organizations that are working to oust bush. he's a great guy, very funny, and smart as a mofo.

He posts occasional diaries at Daily Kos (dailykos.com) if you're interested.

Apparently Mr. Brown got tired of being known only as "the guy from the 'dark days' of SNL" so he posted a dairy on Daily Kos where he calls those serving in the military morally bankrupt fools.

That should be good for getting him a second interview on The Daily Show.

Guy would blow every one of his bits on SNL, through nervousness.

I thought he was funny even if the crowd didn't.

He was definitely funny. It was just painful to see him flub a good joke through nerves.
