the economy/cost of living? It's been an issue for 5 years now. They ignored, if not apologized for it, from 21-25, but 4 months into Trump's term and it's outrage. They even made fun of people complaining about it during the election. "I hope the cost of eggs and gas are worth democracy", now they're complaining about eggs and gas.
The economy is not bad because of Trump (and Trump alone). That's an extremely disingenuous argument. We're not in a depression. We're not even in a recession. Libels overreact to everything he does.
That being said, Trump's tariffs and backtracking on one of his biggest campaign promises is inexcusable. He's making things more difficult and is telling people to make due. No. Fuck that. Tariffs don't boost the economy. They tried that during the Great Depression.
The Smoot-Hawley Act, intended to alleviate the Great Depression, actually worsened the situation by raising tariffs and leading to retaliatory measures from other countries. -

They have always cared. It has been one of their main issues for decades. It's why they have been for health care reform, passed bills to go after price gouging in food and gasoline, to lower prescription medication costs, want to raise the minimum wage, and much more. Republicans have been in opposition of each of those things.

^This man's understanding of economics far exceeds all of ours. He's a genius.

You're mentally ill, Jill.
And wrong.
Yes, the cost of living has generally increased since 2020, particularly due to inflation. Consumer prices have risen, with some categories experiencing more significant increases than others. Overall, prices have risen about 20% since the start of 2020.
