I just read that Dennis Weaver passed away, and the first thing I thought of was not Duel, not McCloud, but this film.
I remember watching this in the mid-1980's, when I was in the eleventh or twelfth grade. We saw a great line-up of addiction films, including one where Dick Van Dyck was an alcoholic who would wistfully sing "Yesterday," and the one where Helen Hunt jumps out the second floor window because she's hopped up on angeldust. I love these films.
He did a fine job. Thanks, Mr. Weaver! -

Same here. I mean, this remains his most memorable role to me.
It really is a very good movie. -

Just watched this on Netflix last night, great movie. I was hoping there'd be more discussion on here about it.
Dennis Weaver was great in this, never really knew of him before this, I might have to check out that Twilight Zone episode with him.
