Yes it will be a shock when Ricky turns up at his door, but a pleasant one I hope.
I’m also hoping that looking after Ricky will be good for Benny. Maybe mature him a bit and in turn I’m hoping that Ricky will mature with him. I’m hoping that the two of them will visit museums and bookshops and all that type of thing.

I was perhaps being a bit unrealistic before. Id be happy enough though if they just do things together such as enjoying a nice pub lunch of steak pie and chips together of a Sunday.
Also I thought that I would test the waters a bit and see how Benny might feel here.

Ricky is very low maintenance though so I’m sure he’ll be fine with it once Ricky is there and it has all had time to sink in a bit.

No. I think it is better if Ricky goes there to STAY! It will be really good for him. People don’t always know what they want. They THINK that they wouldn’t like something, but if they TRY it they often see that they enjoy it more than they thought that they would.

It will do them both a lot of good. I’ll be packing Ricky off on that X43 bus soon with further instructions how how to get to Benny’s when he gets to the city centre. He has been told to get straight on to the next bus after leaving the first bus and not to be going around the various Wetherspoons which Manchester centre has to offer.

I did do, he’s gone now. I must say though I bet it will be strange for Ricky living down south for a bit, I wonder what sorts of habits he’ll pick up. I wonder if they call tea ‘dinner’ down there.

Well on the bus? Let’s see….it takes an hour and 20 minutes to get to Manchester centre and then another 40 minutes on the bus to get to Benny’s. I packed him off at 12…so he should have been there for hours by now!
He DID message me to say that he has arrived safely, which I told him to do.
