I did get the most recent one on the ps5 but I haven't played it much. I should try it again.
The original ones were quality - spend 10 mins hiding so you can kill the postman, steal his clothes and hide your gun in the mail - or just boot the front door down with your cock out shouting Leroy Jenkins!
The gameplay was innovative and clever.

I spent ages stuck on the level where it's like a poirot episode in a big house. I kept going round the dead guy's study clicking on absolutely everything and couldn't progress. It was like playing Monkey Island or Broken Sword back in the day.

It will be woke garbage. Don't let them fool you. You're better than that. Be a man, not a snivelling wreck begging for some game studio to give your life meaning.

I'm not sure Zelda is really that good. I think Nintendo generally release generic content for children that gets elevated reviews due to the brand.
Zelda, Mario etc are 7/10 games with basic gameplay.

I think the most revolutionary game I ever played was MGS 1: guards who could see your footprints in the snow, the tactics that went into the stealth gameplay, being able to do random things like put c4 on an unsuspecting guard's back then exploding him as he walked away…not to mention random things like having to look up codes in the instruction manual.
It had a lot of creative thinking that you just don't see in games anymore. Baldur's Gate 3 is the only game off the top of my head in recent times that feels different and clever.
The Ubisoft clones are particularly generic and awful.

Playing it now, somewhat. It's like playing a 20 year old game with slight graphic improvements and play mechanics. Not bad considering it was already a great game, but now has zero loading time on Xbox Series X. The old loading times were atrocious, so this alone makes it worth it. Since I haven't played the game in 20 years I barely remember it, so it's like playing a brand new game really. I don't think I've played a new game since FarCry 6 came out and was a huge disappointment, but when I saw the Oblivion Remaster was available I bought it instantly.

Or instead of wasting their time with this old nonsense they could have better spent their time completing Elder Scrolls 6.
Skyblivion is happening, and it seems like they only wanted to release this to beat the modders decades long work, for some odd reason. That reason is probably money, of course.
