Look Roger Moore was indeed suave, sophisticated and very charming as James Bond but my God was there anything greatly physical he contributed to the role.
Ok, he did the fight scenes but he hated running (Bond is supposed to be fit), buggered up numerous takes every time he fired the Walther PPK or any Firearm.
He just seemed like he couldn't be bothered compared to the other Bond actors who literally threw themselves into the role risking or sustaining injury, Pierce and Daniel's sounded nasty for example.
As a viewer and fan, surely we want to see, 9 times out of ten, the real deal when watching the actor playing him. Roger himself admitted he was lazy.
To top it all, the producers couldn't be bothered to replace him with Lewis Collins ('too violent' says Cubby Broccoli- hypocrite, explain Sean and George?) or Tim Dalton so he greedily accepted the money for 3 more after Moonraker.
Doing Cubby Broccoli a favour? why do we all really go to work people? -

I think you mean laziest actor?
His Bond was not, imo. Take the highly praised Goldfinger and map out the amount of work bond does he pretty much gets caught and then just happens to be in the midst of it all. Felix and Galore does the work. Fast forward to Moonraker and map the amount of detective work Bond does here - it is not little. In fact, think what you will about Moonraker, but Bond in it does more detective/spy work here than in any other!!! Well maybe only topped by For Your Eyes Only

In fairness his first Bond film was filmed in 1972. Given he was born in 1927, that would make him 45 for his first time around. VTAK was 12 years later, putting him at 57 during filming. Not saying that's old, but it would have been extremely uncommon for someone that age back then to do any stunts (it's older than Liam Neeson would have been for Taken 1). He cannot be expected to run around doing stunts like someone in their 20s or 30s.
