Pits, Shepherds, Dobs all make me nervous. I have been around these animals as people in my family have owned them. My brother used to save a lot of bait dogs when he lived in Florida. He’s never had problems with them afterwards. I’m just cautious as you never know.
Dog parks are the worst place for dog fights. Owners bring their dogs and some don’t have control of their animals. Usually they breakdown the parks by small or large. I would never take small ones in the larger parks. I trained my big dogs walking in the larger dog parks before they went off leash hiking in the mountains which I prefer over any dog park.
I do agree it is the owners but it’s also the breeds and the circumstances they are in at the time of the attacks. -

Tbh the fact that her response to that whole shebang is Poodles have the highest rate of biting says all you need to know about the level of delusion these people have.
A Poodle isn't going to rip you apart. You dont hear stories about Poodles getting out and killing somebody going for a walk. This is like if you said it's good that fully automatic rifles are banned and somebody countered with "but handguns, bro."
My only hope is that every pitbull owner is killed by their own four-legged killing machine so we can be rid of them.

It's not even true about Poodles. There's a lot of misinformation on the internet and Lilith will believe anything.

A lot of people who own and/or rescue these dogs take this stance about them. I had a cute little mutt mix when I was a teen and the neighbors had four pits in a small caged area they never walked. We walked by them and one snatched my dog’s fluffy tail. We were just walking by a chain link fence. No barking or anything. It was traumatizing for all. My dog ended up being put down. Nothing happened to the pits. Those dogs are dangerous especially when there are more than one as they adopt a pack mentality.
There is no comparison to a poodle bite with a dog that can kill you. They aren’t called devil dogs for no reason. I just
get sick every time there is a story where the baby, toddler, child, adult are attacked and killed and if not killed maimed for life. They should all be outlawed and a crime to breed them. -

I made it clear in my post that while Poodles will bite more often, breeds like Pitties which have a much stronger force behind their jaws, the Pitties will do more damage, and that's the reason we see/read more about them. They have a really bad reputation because of what so many people breed Pitties for and how they use them.
At one of the dog parks I go to, there's a rescued bait dog who's missing an eye and half an ear. If anything, he would have the potential to be a fear-biter, but the owner worked diligently with this dog and he's the sweetest thing.
Other dogs like Belgian Malinois and German Shepherds are used in the police force because they have powerful jaws and when they bite, the person is not going to get away.
How many people do you think report Chihuahua bites or Poodle bites? Not many because they're not going to have the same impact as a Pittie bite. I never denied the power of a Pittie bite because their jaws are very powerful.
I just got home from taking my dog to the park. He's 50lbs so he goes in the "big dog" park, but we do have a "small dog" park for smaller dogs. There are also small dogs who
think
they're big dogs and they prefer playing with large dogs.
You bring up one important aspect that's important, however, and that is how well your dog is trained. Most people at the park only call their dogs over when it's time to go so the dogs never come when called. I'm constantly training my dog and working with him, so he has perfect recall. I'll always make sure to do periodical recalls when he's out playing with other dogs. He also responds to hand signals, and if I need to get his attention, one hand signal and he runs to me.

I get a knot in my stomach whenever I look at a pitbull. all I can see is blood and death. poodles might be annoying, but I can kill it with one hand.
Poodles may snip if they feel threatened but they aren’t gonna kill anyone. The comparison is absurd. -

the shelters aren't filled with designer dogs
they are filled with pitbulls and other baby killers
I want a dog that I can take for walks without worrying about it biting a neighborhood kid
There are even
"designer dogs"
(purebred) in the shelters.
But true, smaller purebreds most often find a new home more quickly.
Others (big and small) were
innocently
(!) sentenced to life in prison.
Which unfortunately still means
Death Row
in many US-American pounds.
You only want to satisfy your own needs and look for shady explanations.
So don't ever use the word
"rescue"
again, you little hypocrite.
