The American Revolution was fought in part to open up land for settlement west of the Appalachians (the British had closed it off to settlement, limiting it to the native groups that lived there).
The Germans and Italians certainly wanted land in WW2.
Iraq was about land, specifically the oil beneath the land. -

The Soviets (Russia & Co.)
wanted and got some land in WWII too, from the start.
You can ask Poland what exactly happened in 1939.

You have to ask why a war was started in the first place. In the case of WWII, the Germans wanted to eradicate the communist threat in the East. The Nazis were a reaction to the rise of communism inside Germany. They also wanted resources.
Therefore, WWII was about security and resources. From our perspective, it was only security. We joined on the side of communism because nazism was an even bigger threat to global security.

LMAO!
Germany:
1938 Annexed Austria and the Sudetenland (part of Czechoslovakia)
1939 Invasions of Poland (with Soviet Union), Czechoslovakia, and invasion of Lithuania
1940 Invasions of Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France
1941 Invasions of Yugoslavia and Greece.
Italy:
1935 Invasion and conquest of Ethiopia
1939 Invasion of Albania
1940 Invasions of France and Greece
1940 North Africa campaigns
Japan:
1931 Seizure of Manchuria
1937 Invasion of the rest of China
1941 Pearl Harbor attack, initiating the Pacific War
1941 Expansion in Southeast Asia, including the Pacific Islands
none of these countries were a "communist threat in the East"
****ing retard

What a weird post. However, I appreciate the opportunity to educate, so I'll indulge you.
Germany:
1938 Annexed Austria and the Sudetenland (part of Czechoslovakia)
Not war. However, brought those lands back inside German borders to provide security for "ethnic" Germans.
1939 Invasions of Poland (with Soviet Union), Czechoslovakia, and invasion of Lithuania
Pure genius. Does two things. Allows German troops to move up, en masse, against the Soviet border while simultaneously lulling Stalin into a false sense of security. Also returns "ethnic" German peoples and key port of Danzig back inside the security of the German border. The Germans now have access to the Baltic and can move their U Boats to block any northern counter attack. Germany is now ready to destroy the communist threat, but in declaring war on Poland they've stirred the Allies and their western flank is threatened.
1940 Invasions of Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France
Not in the original plan, but plans change, and it was not a complete suprise to Germany that the Allies declared war. Germany is, therefore, forced to occupy all of Western Europe to prevent a potential invasion by the British and French.
1941 Invasions of Yugoslavia and Greece.
The pro-German Yugoslavian government is overthrown. The Germans recognize their underbelly is exposed and move into Yugoslavia to secure it. Greece was a Mussolini **** up. It's the southern flank of Europe and after Italy met resistance from the British while trying to secure the country, Germany moved in, defeated the Brits, and had now finally sealed Europe off from every direction, leaving them free to begin Operation Barbarossa, the goal all along. The defeat of communism.
If you want me to explain Italian and Japanese strategic goals, let me know. However, I suspect you'll double down on your ignorance and come back with an even weirder comment.

We did. We even held conferences with them to discuss strategy and gave them materiel. And when the war was over, we held further conferences to agree Europe's future.
The Big Three were Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill. France were the most junior of junior partners whose opinion was most often dismissed. In fact, we fought those ****ers in North Africa.
