Donald Trump says his tariffs created an economic miracle.
Harvard economists checked the data—and proved the opposite.
This video walks through what actually happens when you read the studies Trump cited instead of the slogans built around them.
What you’ll learn in this breakdown:
📊 Harvard’s correction — why the study Trump cited directly contradicts his claims
💸 Who really pays tariffs — U.S. consumers (43%) and U.S. firms (57%), not foreign exporters
📈 Hidden inflation — how tariffs added ~0.75 percentage points to inflation and pushed core goods prices to their highest levels since 2011
🏭 Corporate margin squeeze — why absorbing tariff costs leads to layoffs, not resilience
📉 The GDP illusion — how tariff front-running distorted growth numbers in 2025
🛒 Forced rollbacks — why the administration quietly exempted coffee, beef, cocoa, bananas, and more
🌍 Global consequences — how investors and trading partners responded to policy instability
This isn’t a partisan argument—it’s a lesson in source verification.
When leaders cite institutions like Harvard, critical thinking means checking whether the evidence actually supports the claim. In this case, it didn’t—and the policy reversals tell you the rest of the story.

You’re asking a bunch of people who elected a convicted felon who then placed unqualified people into positions of power who in turn **** all over the Constitution and rule of law to actually look at reason, logic and critical thinking? We’re in this **** show BECAUSE nobody thought!
If you can’t say something nice, say something clever but devastating.
