2) that particular model Sig Sauer is known for accidental discharge problems, so if it went off, the officers may have assumed Pretti did have a 2nd and opened fire to defend themselves.

Just a minor clarification: what Sig says is that the model in question cannot discharge without the trigger being pulled.
Meaning, to me, the ICE fag who removed the Sig from Alex Pretti had is finger inside the trigger guard when he took it from Mr. Pretti. Not the way to handle a gun, but I suppose with minimal training. . . . -
