Kimmel Suspended by ABC. Affiliates refuse to air his show

It is interference from the government which is a violation of JK's free speech rights.
WASHINGTON – During a podcast earlier today, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr criticized a monologue by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, televised earlier this week, that had focused on Trump supporters' work to try to make sure that MAGA supporters were not seen as responsible for the killing of Charlie Kirk.
Carr specifically called on ABC affiliates to inform ABC that they would not carry Kimmel's show, and pointed out the power that the FCC has over the broadcasting licenses of the affiliates.

lost his free speech. He just can't use it for the time being
on ABC.
He could start a podcast, or go to Netflix or YouTube.
And remember, it was
ABC
who suspended him,
not
the government. Freedom of speech refers to freedom from
government suppression.
It does
not
apply to
employers.
ABC is his
employer,
and as such, has
the right to fire him.

Free speech is safe.
But one has to understand that your place of employment can legally terminate you if things you say online can negatively affect their bottom line or reputation.
Remember… your speech is safe, but say vicious hateful things on social media and you may experience LEGAL CONSEQUENCES that you may not like.
