They are called influencers that make money several ways: One is they usually have a big following already and they are reached out by companies who pay them to promote/advertise their product. There is also a Tik Tok shop which you can promote whichever products you want, but usually have to have like 10,000 followers already to be able to do that. Some just make money off videos going viral and you get a certain amount of money per view (this is especially true with Youtube and Tik Tok). Also there is a thing now where you can get in touch with companies and ask to make videos for their products and they pay you for it.
It can make you big money for a good amount of time. But there are algorithyms that are hard to always keep up with and some people start losing views/new follows because of it on new videos. Plus any of these platforms can ban or lock you out for no reason, stop paying etc. I've seen this happen to many popular influencers many times. And it probably will never be long term over 10 plus years unless you have an agent who you pay to help you keep up with the algorithyms etc. I see many people in their 50's doing this as well so it isn't about just young people.
And of course there is still the issue of Tik Tok getting perma banned in USA because of dealing with China etc, but Trump has delayed that several times now.
I have done a ton of research on this because I have been toying with the idea of starting to post videos on Tik Tok for a while now to make extra money, but I still have to get up the courage to feel comfortable on camera. Also trying to always come up with the idea of what to post and having to post several videos a week. -

Yes in fact a lot of people do. I've seen Tik Tok lives and videos where they are just showing diagrams of stocks or crypto all day. Some people post videos/lives on cruise ships or Disneyworld or Disneyland without showing their face. It's just showing what they see and riding rides etc. Also pets. With all that said though, the ones where people show themselves do tend to do better or get followers quicker unless it's a niche that you are really good at.
Also you can also make videos for brands without showing your face like advertising perfume or a drink or something like that. I thought of that too, but problem is I don't have a very good background in my home that looks professional. -

Realistically speakin I could probably do a Disney account. I technically already have a Disney account on Instagram. I don’t really do a whole lot of advertising, though that’s where I wouldn’t really know how to do that.
I’d probably just make a new one and just post content like where to find certain food or like new updates on parks or best places to view fireworksand stuff like that. Lol -

I follow someone who was living in his car 4 years ago and can now afford to travel the world! He does put out a lot of content and it's mostly food related - people seem to love that 
I was also wondering about celebs, are they getting paid for mere content too? I mean I know they get paid or gifted stuff and have to declare it's an AD but when they're just jibber jabbering about their holiday or something, are they getting paid for that?
I totally understand not wanting to appear on camera, people are absolutely brutal in comments especially if you're a woman. People seem to think it gives them permission to discuss a woman's appearance. However, there are a lot a very positive responses too.
I'd be worried about recording, editing etc too.
