I rarely see old cars anymore

I have a 2003 truck I still drive occasionally and it's not uncommon for me to see vehicles around that age or slightly newer. They don't seem like classics to me, but I think it's a matter of perception. The cool '70s cars that I saw quite often as a kid were about as old as my truck is now.

I'll see older cars, but the design of the older ones I do see aren't very distinct from new cars like they used to be. Designs have become so homogeneous since maybe the late 00s.
I'm not much of a car guy. I don't know **** about them and I don't care how nice a car is. I just miss seeing vehicles that stand out, even in what some would day a bad way. -

Agree. This is my truck (same model anyway):
It's mostly used in the winter and on those rare occasions when I need to haul something. But it doesn't look significantly different from many newer models.
As for cars that stand out, my dad was driving something like this way up into the mid 2000s:
But to counter your point slightly, there is one asshole in town who drives a Cybertruck

I flip the dude off every time I see him, and I see him a lot. He drives through the part of town where I hang out multiple times a day, often in circles, and never stops anywhere. He also drove by the 50501 protest I attended at least a dozen times. I think it's his way of "owning the libs."
