Then, in junior high I had friends that smoked pot and they want you to smoke with them
Otherwise I doubt if I would have ever been interested

Same. Two of my best friends started smoking, and I started hanging out with others, but eventually I joined in. It was always the same friend who introduced us to cigarettes, weed, LSD, and then coke. I never liked doing coke, and it destroyed a 15 year friendship because she was an addict.

Undiagnosed bipolar disorder and anxiety issues. I stayed in and read a lot. I tried my best to fit in with church youth group, marching band, theater, but didn't really find myself until college.
