It's meant to help them adjust to life with a baby. Especially during the time when they're completely helpless newborns. Even 4 months would be considered a ****ty amount of leave in the developed world for moms or dads. You ignorant barren whore.

Secondly, maternity leave is significantly longer because the mother needs to recover, literally the reasoning for it, paternity leave is much shorter, and is for the father to yes, bond with their new child and also help the mother who just got done giving birth and can't do much. These are two men who experienced zero trauma from the childbirth, who disappeared for months while getting paid by the taxpayer while our supply lines collapsed and trains derailed, things he was in charge of.
No, sorry, they were playing house, the incredibly long maternity leave they took was completely unnecessary.

Hmm, I will give you some partial credit because honestly I didn't know countries did give that long of paternity leave. That said, you did provide some countries where this length of time is normal, however, that isn't the world wide norm, that's just a small set that fit your claim. Global average paternity leave is 1.98 weeks per The Google.
That said, again, this is obviously a different situation, as I've stated, because neither of them gave birth, they bought their baby, neither one of them has any trauma to recover from.
