Christians of both sexes can and do masturbate, and they also have accompanying fantasies. If the fantasy is about adultery or incest etc then that is a sin and it makes the act of masturbation a sin also. If the fantasy is straight ie about being with someone of the opposite sex who is single, then the act of masturbation is not sinful. It is not known how many fantasies include sinful things, but I bet it is a lot. So when the person finishes the act they find that the fantasy has ended too. This prompts the question: Does the act fuel the fantasy, or does the fantasy fuel the act? The former I think. And if the fantasy is sinful, or is in part sinful, - and it is not easy to keep it straight - then it will need to be repented of to get oneself right with God again.
