THIS is why America fights so hard for our First Amendment Right and freedom of speech, and why Elon Musk needs to continue to resist the pressure for censorship. When we start fining, imprisoning people and confiscating phones for "hurt feelings", things have definitely gone too far. Look how gleeful they are at taking away other peoples' rights.

I think even the most liberal of liberals would suggest that Bluesky's free speech policy is a little too free /.
PDFs all over that site, just like Twitter was before Musk took over.
I'm all for free speech but I'm also against molestation of children
But hey, you do you

You Krauts are
FUCKED,
and you're
doing it to yourselves.
And comparing Elon Musk's gesture with Hitler is just
stupid and dishonest.
You are descending into Nazism from the 30's. They didn't allow free speech either.

There is a lot of editing which keeps switching from short clips of the show back to the narrator, so much so that we are only getting the narrators version of what this story really is. I couldn't finish it. Also, Elon Musk? Seriously? The Nazi salute guy is your new idol, Lilith?
If it's anything like that nonsense you posted about the guy being arrested for thought crimes whilst harassing women outside a BPAS clinic then there's probably a lot more to it.
You stupid fuckers, you know who you are. -

What? Please show me where I ever, even once, wrote or inferred that Elon Musk was my "idol". I am simply talking about America's right to protect free speech and what we may expect to see if we lose it.
Warren Smith is a professor who teaches critical thinking, and there are enough of his videos available to watch to see where he's coming from. He tries to teach his students
how
to think, not
what
to think, and he's trying to show the dangers of what happens when we take freedom of speech for granted.
I never posted about a guy "harassing women" outside a BPAS clinic. Are you referring to when I posted about a man silently praying to himself for 3 minutes? If you view "thinking to oneself" silently in one's mind as equal to "harassing someone else" then perhaps you agree with the measures being taken in Germany according to this documentary that people should be arrested for "thought crimes" and for saying things that might even remotely be deemed "offensive" or "mean" on a subjective level. I just don't agree with that perspective.
We reserve the right to be offensive, and if we lose that, we risk our freedoms being encroached upon. When someone is objecting and it's infringing on others rights to access a building or impeding the flow of traffic or people are being assaulted or buildings are being vandalized or set on fire, then I would say
that
is "harassment".
As you can see, this is taken from a
60 Minutes
documentary, and I'm sure that whole thing can be found online if you'd like to take an hour and watch it.

Comparing Musk's hand gesture with the Nazi salute is both
stupid and dishonest.
You should be
ashamed of yourself,
Dazed. Germany is going back to Nazism from the 30's. They didn't allow free speech either.
You are promoting censorship and
the curtailing of Free Speech.
But that is what you Leftards want. You only agree with Free Speech when someone agrees with you. You are
Fascists!

I don't understand why this video created such hostility. Maybe it's an American thing in terms of how protective we are of freedom of speech, much like how we are of the 2nd Amendment - another thing that many non-Americans really do not understand. I'm simply stating that I think we should have the right to free speech, and that includes things like satire. It's a slippery slope to be treading if we start arresting people for jokes or cartoons.
