What aren't you getting? He said he wants to put people like Cheney and Schiff in jail for doing a basic part of their jobs legally.
In a normal world a pre-emptive pardon wouldn't be under consideration because a normal president wouldn't be threatening Congress with jail time for doing investigations that they have the legal authority to do. But in a normal world idiots wouldn't be breaking into the Capitol after losing an election either -

He's stating that they're war hawks and he's stating his opinion on their lack of duty. He, himself, is not doing any investigation. That is up to the judicial system. He said as much when asked directly. He purposely said as much.
Even when it came to Hilary Clinton, he never followed through.
Even when it came to pardoning himself, he declined to do so as that would look as if he were guilty of doing something he weren't guilty of.
He's allowing the legal system to take care of things.
I'm curious, do you think the people in 2020 were doing "mostly peaceful protests" or do you consider what happened across our country as "riots"?

First of all, no, he's not talking about their positions on foreign policy. He's talking about their work on the committee that did an investigation he was a part of. Being a hawk may not be a great position but it's not illegal. They're not the ones who were inventing evidence to invade Iraq, which would be illegal. Cheney's dad might fit into that category, she doesn't. Then she lost her election fair and square and like a regular person does, she accepted it and left office without a fight.
As far as 2020, the ones throwing bricks and starting fires were rioting. The ones who were just in the streets weren't. What the ratio of brick throwers to bystanders was I have no idea.
Meanwhile 100% of the people who entered the building on January 6th were breaking the law. Anyone who stayed outside the grounds might have been either angry, stupid, or both but the people who didn't break in aren't the ones going to jail. -

Wrong. Post #1 I said Trump was threatening to prosecute everyone on the J6 committee who investigated him. Post #2 I added a quote from Trump where he said exactly that, and then repeated that he wants to jail the committee in slightly different words.

These are not the same thing. He's saying he thinks they should be in jail, that's not the same as him saying he's going to prosecute them. Again, he said over and over that Hillary should be in jail, does that mean he prosecuted her? No. Sorry, you're wrong again.
