I was listening to the news while I was driving home, and I heard that there's a pilot program being launched, (I don't remember where), where they're going to use driverless 18-wheeler vehicles for deliveries. Weren't there problems with vehicles where some crashes occurred? I can't imagine the potential danger of a huge semi getting involved in collisions or veering off the road causing all sorts of problems.
This reminds me of the movie
I, Robot
on so many levels!

The speculation I've seen is that it's more likely they'll have semi-automated convoys where the lead driver is in control and the following trucks will be driverless.

Have you seen the movie
I, Robot
? I'm referring specifically to the movie, not the book, especially due to the driving scenes. That has always scared the heck out of me! I can't imagine a world where there's so much automation, but I've seen drones deliver packages, and I've seen a few videos of people falling asleep at the wheel while on auto, and it just reinforces my Luddite stance lol
I'll save my adventurous side for Mother Nature!
