How many dump truck loads was it? And, how much did it run you? << hope I didn't exceed the question limit there, lol

        no problemo zolo!
approx 20 tons per load…sometimes up to 28…but all of these have been right at 20.
its recycled concrete…304 grade. course chunks about the size of a lime all the way down to dust…a heavy dust content. great for compacting!
recycled is CHEAP at around 10 bucks a ton…plus another ten per ton delivery charge. typical limestone 304 would run you at least 25 per ton with an additional 20-25 per ton delivery fee. so the savings are astronomical

Damn, that's a good deal. I'm glad you found good use for recycled concrete, too.
I just busted up an old concrete walkway that my dad put in years ago. Massive cedar tree roots grew underneath it and up-heaved it to the point where it was no longer usable. I used a 10lb. sledge hammer to break it up into chunks, then had a junk hauling company take it off my hands for me. I hope it too gets recycled and not just end up in a landfill.

            Nice! Love a good sledgehammer!!!
The place I get the gravel actually pays for concrete like you demolished. Only a buck a ton lol…but better than charging to dump it
They also have really good pulverized top soil at 25 a yard…but when you go to get loaded the guy just asks how much you want so I get 2-2.5 tons for the 25😁👍

Yeah, it woulda' been nice if I coulda' sold that heap of rubble, lol.
Ah well, it was a comparatively small heap - certainly less than a ton - plus I had a bunch of other crappola I was having them haul away for me too, so it all worked out.

This drives me nuts that in the winter I am supposed to shovel their property and if I don't I get fined.
I didn't sign any contract to do what should be their work.
If I do shovel it might just be one strip down the middle instead of the whole ****ing thing.
Not like we live in a high traffic area.
Maybe 5-8 ppl walk by everyday at the most.

Is this replacing previous gravel in the DW?
                      If so, then why?
What would have happened to the previous gravel?
From driving in it does it get knocked over into the weeds/grass that grows on the side?
