more recent cars are just too technical for me to work on anymore. Plus, the engine compartments are much more tightly packed.
I hate to say it, but I had to give up my old mechanic when I got a new car. He just didn’t understand hybrids. Now I go to the dealership and my wallet hates it

Dealerships are nothing but highway robbery. Don't get me started!
It's why I'm very reluctant to buy any latest models anymore. They're SO complex now. You pretty much sign on to being a slave to the dealerships.
