I happened to stumble upon a bat on the ground during daylight while hiking. It was a on a narrow bridge across a stream and did not want to get too close to it so I jumped off the side of the bridge before I reached the end of it. It was only 5 feet about the ground. When I jumped I put my hand down for a second to brace myself.
Is there any risk, since my hand touched the surface of the bridge and not the bat? I was around 5 or 6 feet away from the bat.
I did not touch it. There was no contact. No bite or scratch.
When I hiked back it was still there. I walked past it. I was only a foot away from it, but it did not move and there was no contact.
According to the FAQ, I should be fine, but I am just a bit worried. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for any responses.

Cold comfort for change? Did you exchange
A walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
