Is your phone an OLED? Flagship Android phones and newer iphones(a weaker variety of OLED) have it.
There are settings to adjust its intensity. I recently switched from my iphone 12 to a P-OLED Lenovo/Motorola flagship phone.
I ****ing love the scorching OLED but for some people its too much.
