LMFAO here is how I understand the situation. A few years back, a Modern warfare 2 campaign remaster came out ( I had it on xbox, pretty good ). And nao in 2024, a modder nammd " H2 " was making a FREE mod for players so they can play multiplayer, he worked on this for over a year. As news of this went around, lots of people ended up buying the game, a sale for the game eventually happened a few days back and I dont know if that was just happen stance or Activision put the game on sale due to the new interest in the game, but they made a nice little profit off it no doubt…..
and then, a few hours before the mod was set to launch, Activision got all legal and had the mod shut down……scumbags? lol

That makes it even more confusing no? The mod makers were not going to make a cent from this this at all, ACTIVISION them selfs were the only people set to profit from it….

Someone on youtube just said something like " If people are playing this free mod, that means less people playing the real Call of duty and not buying things from the online store "
