So what about me who started off wearing glasses, then moved onto contact lenses and then eventually had lens implants? Did my intelligence level follow my eyewear?

If your eyes change, can you get them removed and have new lenses fitted or is it a oncer?

It should be a oncer (I hope!) but you can wear regular contact lenses and glasses if they do change. But even if that is the case, I went from not being able to see anything further than just a couple of inches away so if I needed glasses to watch TV or whatever, that’s still completely different to how I would feel my way to get around the house if I didn’t have my lenses in.
I had a check up last year and my vision (and the implants) are good though 😊

That's really interesting! I had no idea that was even possible. Have you had them long, and did they feel very weird when you first got them put in?

I got them in 2013. I can’t feel them at all but the surgery was horrible, but painless.
I can see them in the mirror but when someone else has a look they never can ☺️

Wow. I have bad vision too. They told me I can’t get lasik but maybe I can get the implants and my doctor is just too old to know

What is your prescription? I think laser surgery is not too good for maybe over -8 because they have to laser off too much so higher prescriptions are better treated with implants.
