As I have now with the washing machine thing even though he's just a kid, the same hairdresser, and both my gp and dentist are almost exactly my age. I've known them for years now. I don't have the best chemistry with my doctor yet but I really like my dentist. I'm seeing her again soon so she can make me a new splint. This will be the first time I'm seeing her more than once every other year or so. I'll get a change to know her better. So yea, I'll be making an effort to build some sort of network around me. I like the thought of that. It's a step in the right direction for me.

And, I have a new landlord as well lol, that I won't be messing up for because he's selling this apartment building soon. Then I'll get yet another chance to not mess up. Yay, haha.

That’s a really good idea. I think it helps to give a sense of comfort and stability when you have a familiar network around you. Like for me, it is more important for me to have “essential connections” here in France than it is for me to have places to socialise or people to socialise with. Like I NEED to see a doctor, a dentist, a groomer for the dogs, etc, and these needs are more important for me to be covered by someone I know and am familiar with. I just need to find a plumber or a handyman to add to the list

Yes, exactly Pandora. Before, I switched hairdresser basically every time I cut my hair because I was never satisfied with the job they did lol, but now that I finally found someone who did a good job I should go to her again. The plumber guy helped me a lot too. At first he was just going to install the washing machine for me because the movers were unable to do it. When it started shaking he helped me twice with additional work related to that and I didn't even pay for it. So I think we're off to a good start, haha.
