First they said, "You have to wear a mask to protect yourself so you don't die!"
Now they are saying, "You cannot wear a mask to protect yourself so you do die!"
    Crikey!
Can't they make up their minds on this???

They didn't seem worried about face coverings during crimes a few years ago. I'm surprised there weren't more crimes when so many people were masked.

        Yeah, that is true.
Masks and other pandemic issues during Covid actually caused their share of problems.
Like one story of how these masked black teens got kicked out of a store out of fear they were going to rob the place when they weren't.
Someone who was buying a lot of TP murdered someone else who complained about that.
And I think a security guard might have been murdered when he insisted someone mask up before coming into the store.
I might be misremembering some deets but yeah, Covid crises.
        Good times!

I remember the story about the security guard. That was horrible.
There were a lot of videos back then of people yelling at others for not wearing masks. Sometimes the people were eating, so how could they be wearing masks?

            It was nuts.
It almost feels like it never happened even though it was a long 2-3 years.
Can't believe it's pretty much over or to this point where it was not as bad as it was.
I thought it was always going to be like that and mentally was prepared to mask up everywhere and everytime.

It seems so long ago in some ways. I remember posting pictures of the empty Target shelves in the medication aisle, the toilet paper aisle, etc. I also remember some price gouging, like some people tried selling a regular (not a 100-roll package or something) package of toilet paper for over $100.

Yeah, and there were these guys who bought and hoarded all this hand sanitizer just to resell it at a high markup for themselves.
I think the authorities had to step in and stop them.
Then it turns out the virus was not passed through touching objects as they claimed.
                How about you?
Do you still wear a mask even if it is not mandated?
Are you from the side thinking they helped, they didn't or not sure?

No, I stopped wearing masks years ago. I rarely see anyone wearing them anymore. Do you still wear masks?
Certain masks might've provided some protection, but a lot of people were wearing masks or other face coverings that were later revealed to not offer much protection.

No, I quit wearing them as well even when we get a warning/suggestion to when a new strain is around.
I would like to think they helped since I didn't get Covid.
If I am fooling myself with a false sense of security then I am OK with that.

Yeah, maybe it's better to believe it worked so we won't feel like we wore them for nothing.

And I gotta admit it was kinda helpful to wear them in the winter when going outside since it did keep the face warm a little.

True. And covered the occasional facial blemish.

                            That is also true.
I always thought it looked weird or so wrong when those men with long beards had them growing under the mask.
                            Not a good look.

lol. I might've thought the same thing, but I don't remember. It always looked stupid when people wore the masks below their noses.
