The polls were dead even last I checked. If Biden wins, it’ll be by the thinnest of margins. I predict a lot of people (on both sides) will abstain from voting this time around.
Edit: oh but to answer your question, yes I think there will be a mismatch. The more charged the election, the greater the divide.

The only change that should be made is each state counts as 1 vote. You need to win 26 states.
