When my new pizza oven arrived on Monday and it was way bigger than I expected and so heavy and I had a massive meltdown. It wasn’t so much that it was the pizza oven but with so many other things going on that have been stressing me, it was that one thing too many that tipped me over the edge.

Will you be going to the beach this weekend?
️
It will be sunny here Saturday, but only 20C. I'm kind of relieved though because it has been very humid here. Unfortunately by Tuesday they are predicting 34
It's been a weird summer so far (even though summer has yet to officially start), temps up and down like a yoyo.

No, I went to the lake yesterday but maybe I’ll go to the beach next week. I prefer to go on weekday afternoons when it is mostly empty. I imagine at the weekends it’s really busy.
34° isn’t too bad if there is low humidity but humidity really sucks. It was humid there the other day and it felt so yucky.
Summer has been weird here as well. Nowhere near as hot as it usually is. The highest we’ve had so far is only 27° but mostly it’s been around 23/24 but the end of next week looks like we will be getting into the 30s which it normally is around now. -

It's extremely humid in Ottawa during the summer months and most people here central air. One summer when my a/c broke down, it was 110 in my bedroom.
Winters are bitter cold, though for the past few years, we've had very little snow and temps weren't that bad.
It's still funny to me when some think Canada is buried under snow all year.

Oh crap, that’s no good. It’s usually around 30° in my flat in the summer and I use a fan but this year I haven’t even got my fan out of storage.
No, I know that Canada has both sides of the extremes. But it’s like people think the UK is a cold country but it’s actually moderate. It doesn’t get very cold and if it does snow, it’s only for a day or two, and it does get hot but it’s unpredictable and can change from day to day. Here in the south of France you know what you are getting weather-wise. -

I guess I've been spoiled all my life with a/c because 30 indoors sounds horrible
I think I'm just very sensitive to heat.
This song was playing on the radio a few minutes ago when I was in the kitchen. Maybe you're looking to add to your Playlist whilst at the beach?
Hated it as a teen, but I don't mind it now.

Yeah but that's when I have the fan on and then it feels ok. Also once it gets to those kind of temperatures I will close the shutters to try and keep the sun from heating up the room too much. It's 25º in here at the moment and it feels absolutely fine, not hot, not uncomfortable, just pleasant.
Years ago my ex told me that song was his favourite Blondie song

lol!
I didn't realize it was known outside Canada. It's always strange when certain songs make it overseas. It's the only one I know by them and didn't think it was that popular here even.

I won an all expenses trip for two to Miami years ago when i was 18 and the ticket was free. It was a game promotion thing from a gas station. I've never bought a lottery or scratch ticket in my life.
