Did you see her purse snatched on TV, or were you there at San Telmo in Buenos Aires?
I was there on a Sunday afternoon at the market wondering who the two stiffs in suits were looking after the bimbo Americans (Like many others I'm sure).
Nobody knew who they were until after it all came out in the news, but it was obvious what was going to happen to them. I guess they got the short stick with the Secret Servicemen picked to look after them.
Loads of people got robbed in Buenos Aires when I was there. Madonna, and separately Beyonce, had their safe in their dressing rooms broken into and had their passports stolen along with their other valuables.
All their future dates in South America had belays due to it
They guy that invented Linux has his laptop stolen while talking with some students outside the university. Again, nobody was harmed and he didn't see it take place but it was broad daylight and out in public. he ended up crying about it during an interview on national TV.
Now, I still think it's a safe place to be. But I don't stand out in a crowd when I don't want to. What is safe for me is completely different from what is safe for someone else

It sounds like you are well traveled. How many countries have you visited?

More than a few
I know you are up around the 100 mark just now, is that about right?
Nah, just 38. I'm planning to visit France and Switzerland later this year. If I do, Switzerland will be #39.

Switzerland's nice. A bit quiet compared to wider Europe but very civilised. An easy nip over to Austria or Italy should you get the chance

I've already been to Austria and Italy. This trip is to visit Colmar, in Alsace, France where my great, great grandfather was born in 1831.
I'll also take in Paris
(third time, not bragging, well okay maybe a little)
Mont St. Michel, Strasbourg and Bozouls, France. Bozouls was the setting for
Monsieur Spade
.

A TV show came out recently for Monsieur Spade with Clive Owen in the lead.
I've not seen it yet (Or read any books of it) but it'd be nice to see what he does with the character post Casa Blanca
That's a nice trip you've got planned there MMC
Not a lot of tourists take that route and so you should feel quite at home in our heritage

Thanks, Siggy. I like to think of myself not as a tourist, but rather as a visitor.
Yes, that is the show I was referring to. It was very good, but the last episode was kind of lame. But I would be interested in a second season.

No Juan has seen it, but technically you haven’t. Not with YOUR eyes anyway. You just have Juan’s memories.
Of course perhaps (unlike Ricky) that doesn’t bother you.

Every cell in the body regenerates after seven years Bobby (Apart from the brain) and so if Juan hadn't been to Prague for over seven years technically he's be seeing it afresh with
his
own eyes
Ownership of body is subjective, in my opinion I wake up fresh everyday and get to see the whole world again for the first time but with memories from before then

That’s a marvellous way of looking at at!
I shall tell Ricky what you have just said and maybe then he will stop banging on about seeing things ‘with my own eyes’.
