You’re too young to shrink if you’re in your 50s. From what I’ve learned for males at least it’s not your bones that shrink it’s the cartilage between them. You just have to stay active.
My dad is 77 and has not lost an inch. I know you are active though. Of course genetics comes in to play too.
Also, did you know those who are 6 foot 2 and over, lose the most height during age?

unfortunately it is the cartilage…but it has to do with strenuous activity on your feet…fugazi will be six foot for ever lol. at least thats what the dr said…she also said most men strt to shrink in their 40s and that my shrinkage is normal for someone on their feet as much as i am at my age. also the fact that i was almost 300 pounds most likely compounded the loss. heavier squishes the cartilage more i guess?
