Nah, the blue areas are where people have to own firearms to protect themselves from all the criminals that liberal (blue) policies foment. Liberal judges aren't keeping the violent felons in prison. They're letting them out even after multiple convictions. Duh.

The majority of the gun violence happens in major cities, the vast majority of major cities are run by Democrats, and those places tend to have strict gun control. I'm not going to bother to research and verify the OP, but it would certainly make sense.

I guess someone is trying to show something to make some kind of pro gun argument when it makes an argument to be anti gun instead.
It doesn't matter where the most gun violence happens.
What matters is that it happens at all and is a sad thing.
Nothing to be proud of and it needs to end somehow.

Nobody is proud of gun violence. Everyone agrees it needs to stop, we just have fundamental disagreements on how to stop it.

The violence is not happening in only "Blue" states.
Like a large portion of it is in Texas which is a "Red" state.
You also have a bunch of it in Florida and other southern states.
Plus state's colors can and do change from one election to the other.
This is just trying to show where the most violent gun crimes happen and is not blaming Repubs. or Dems. for it, which is a stupid thing to do.
