Lulz that’s pretty funny and now I learned a new Welsh word!
Slightly unrelated, but I grew up learning British English (as does most of the non-English speaking world afaik). I knew before moving to America there were gonna be some slight differences and I tried preparing myself as much as possible by watching American movies, tv shows, etc.
Fast forward, I’m in university. I realized I forgot to bring an “eraser,” so I ask the guy next to me if I could borrow a “rubber”… he gives me this slightly horrified and confused look. And that’s when I learned that rubber was slang for condom in America
