Now the best way to go after a guy who tries to sell sneakers, in Philadelphia of all places, is to show that they were made in America by Americans for Americans
If you want to catch him out just check the label
You can't be soft on people like that. Take it from me, Bubba

I was thinking the same thing Mr. Kerr.
Were these made in America or China?
My guess is the latter and I tried to find out with a search but no one is bringing that up as they should.
I did find this which may let Trump off the hook if they are not made in America but still he should have had some say in where they are made:
According to the website, the products are “trademarks of CIC Ventures LLC. Trump Sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals. 45Footwear, LLC uses the Trump name, image and likeness under a license agreement.”
In the meantime don't you think USA has an odd relationship with China?
We shoot down their wayward weather balloons, claim they are an enemy and yet keep on using them for cheap, sweatshop labor for American based companies.
It's like a man refusing to get his now fat and ugly wife out of the bed and the front door even though he could if he tried.

I'm not sure about the wife thing Warren but yes, if the US is (Or certainly reported to have been during Trump's office) in an economic war with China why not just pull all trade with them?
The answer is that the infrastructure isn't there for the US to continue at the rate it has come to expect because living standards and debt couldn't be homegrown enough to sustain how it currently is. It's cheaper to import and complain then it is to create and hold a strong market (In the short to mid term anyway).
The sneakers are a gimmick, as are the scents. People will happily throw 400 dollars at a pair of shoes you could get in China for $5 because they are limited and can only increase in value (They're numbered don't cha know!). This is a wonderful mirror to the entire Western/Eastern economies and how silly a concept like debt is.
But nobody'll challenge it because it means that they don't get to have their caviar while others grow hungry. And we all like to feel like we're flash for these few moments of existence don't we?
