You know, it's not obvious to me why society views mental illness as an almost exclusively female trait. I mean, I understand the perception, but both genders are susceptible to poor mental health.
So, like a woman with mental health issues is not at all uncommon and so… you know… it's like women are always on the verge of mental collapse, right. This isn't entirely unexpected though, eh, because, like, they view the world through an emotional lense, and emotions are fragile, right. Emotions can overtake us. Emotions can just explode into life, and… like… so it's something like, you could be having a good day, with everything in its proper place and everyone is being nice to you and you're getting everything done and then bamn you overhear that Brenda in accounts said that your new hair color doesn't suit you, right. It's like, that's not good at all, because now you're rethinking the whole day. Did everyone else lie to you, or is Brenda just being mean? And if Brenda is being mean, like… why?
So now you're feeling disconnected and wondering if that good day was just a lie. Was, like, the whole thing a fabrication of your imagination? You know, maybe you weren't picking up on all the signs. You're almost having an out of body experience and it's like, you know, a delusion of some sort. You begin questioning your reality. I mean, it's that easy… it's like… it should absolutely not at all come as a surprise to the husband when the wife gets home and she starts pushing for an argument because, right, she wants to bottom this whole thing out. She wants a reaction that she knows is genuine. She needs to make sure she's still calibrated correctly. It's like, yeah, mental health for females is a real challenge.
With men, it's just seen as this thing that never really happens, because if you have a disaster like that happen to you, you know, you just don't care if Barry in IT said your hair looks stupid because, well Barry must be a homosexual if he's even had that thought and so… anyways, that's just not going to be a problem for men.
Mental mental health problems in men usually come from a much more troubling place, like… it's a complexity related phenomenon, you know. It's like you've just got fired, some guy in the street stole your wallet, you found out your wife has been unfaithful, and your proctologist just gave you like the worst news ever. Man, that's going to push anybody over the edge, and so because men are already carrying the biggest burden, it's… no it's true, right. Men are the bread winners, they take on all the responsibility for making sure EVERYONE else in their lives is protected and provided for, and it's like… it's tough being a man, right, and so you are well practised at dealing with the kinds of things that upset women, but when something significantly challenging happens, and, and so this is important, it comes at a time when you're already overburdened with myriad issues, you just break.
So yeah, men can suffer with poor mental health too, and we should remember that. -

So, I think we all recognize one of the problems, let's say, with the Walking Dead board. There's, like, a very definite in-group and so that means there's this out-group. Like, I think it's not exactly clear where the delineation occurs, okay, but it's like you definitely know if you're out. Like, Steve Lake is out. I mean, that's a damn certainty.
Why is that a good thing? It's not. It's a bad thing. A very bad thing. Group identity is pathological. This is happening all over the Western world where we're making your group identity the most important thing about you. I think that's reprehensible. It's devastating. I think it's genocidal in its ultimate expression, man. I think it will bring down our civilization if we pursue it. We shouldn't be playing that game.
It's that individual people are way more powerful, they're certainly way more evil, than they're willing to consider. But that's also a sign of their unbelievable power. So what I think you do is, you aim high and put yourself together and stay the hell away from the ideologues. Because they're hiding. They're hiding behind a way. They're not able to come out and fight on their own behalf. And this is absolutely true of the Walking Dead. Absolutely. There are no individuals there. It's not a board, it's a hoard. It's not good. You may be in the group that feels on top at the moment, and you might think it's okay to oppress or attack another group because, well let's say you think that that group once attacked or oppressed you. But it's like, so what, man. That was then, this is now and one day, you won't be in the dominating group and you will have helped create a world with a terrible sense of morality. Like, it's okay for one group to dismiss another group. Like, that leads to genocide. That's the logical conclusion, man.

I find Donna's opinion cannot be confirmed and is fairly worthless in this discusion, but if it was known the total ratio of men to women here, what would you think it would be? 1.5 to 1 or more like 2.5 to 1?
IMO, Donna's extreme level of dysfunction counts as about 25 crazy women.

That's a rather divisive position you're both adopting. I mean, you know, this community is miniscule. That's not a meaningful sample size so it's really not of any consequence how many people of which gender aren't mentally healthy here. Like, not at all. It's facile, man.

I'm talking total number of individuals that have at least one account here even those that don't visit very often. We were told by nimda or someone in an admin position there were around 100.
If that is still the case, how many do you think are male and how many are female (regardless of mental health).

I really have no idea nor interest in the gender ratio here. Like, I've already said, it's an insufficient sample size from which to derive any meaning at all. Like, it's just pointless, man. Really. So, you know, just let it go.

I didn't imply there would be any meaning to be gleaned from a conjecture as to the gender ratio. It was merely a curiosity question as to what you think it could be based on your educated observations.
I tend to think there might be many more males here than females in the same what there are more males at death metal concerts. Males are generally more interested in chaos and fighting.
Let that spur your mind. Let the juices flow. If you have any after mistreating your nervous system with copious amounts of alcohol in your apparent quest to drown your considerable demons.
BTW, can you explain what you meant by 'mental mental'?

It's like, let's not discuss people's problems like that. You know? It could be kind of humiliating for that person and so, well, maybe they're trying to get on top of it and make something of their lives, anyways, so…
But anyways, like, FFS is not in a good place. Not at all. There's a real sadness there, a kind of longing for something. I mean, it's not obvious to me what that could be, right? But yeah, like, even the name… it's a kind of exasperated sigh. Like, there's just nothing going right for this guy. Even the women here are making a fool of him.

You parade around with your fake title of doctor, but let's be real here, you couldn't diagnose a common cold if it slapped you in the face. With your minimal understanding of basic medical terminology, you think you can fool others into believing you are a competent doctor.
Well, I hate to break it to you, but throwing around terms like "anatomy" and "cardiovascular" doesn't make you a medical professional.
