This album is the same kind of front-to-back easy listening PluggnB experience that I find so addicting about the original
Shawty Rxk Too
. The 2nd album in the series was blessed with the inclusion of his 2nd most popular youtube track,
The Real Lil Reese
, but as a whole it didn't quite deliver on the infectious warm, cozy & colorful vibes that I expected of a sequel to the first album.
This album's consistent smooth PluggnB production provides the perfect backdrop for more gangster love professions and tangents which often border on the absurd. The combination of RXKNephew's suave-yet-crass lady's man act with his incessant references to crack cooking/dealing is a hilarious contrast at times.
Rx Papi's verses give a couple tracks a huge boost, and supply some of the best quotables on an album packed with hilarious lines ("I walk in like a junkie on inpatient…"). "Talking Bout Going Out" reaches the outer ranges of PluggnB where Trap conventions are totally abandoned, and Neph slides with the smoothest flow & delivery I've ever heard from him. "Playing It Off" doesn't even bother with drums and floats by like a brief warm breeze, with a horn/oboe part that kills me.
