โ 2 years ago(June 09, 2023 02:30 AM)I couldn't bear it, at first, but this week I do.
I got a bag of oranges and need to get more. Grapefruit is not painful to eat, I think.
I drink filtered "tap" water, water with ice that I make/freeze, and now milk, whole milk so I get in my fats/oils/sweets in a better way before I eat a bunch of it, later.

whoever gives you "nutritional" advice needs to be arrested. if you take meds for high cholesterol then grapefruit in any form is strictly forbidden. oranges are pure sugar so a diabetic needs t0 avoid oranges and orange juice. whole milk contains the absolute worst types of fat, bad fats for someone with diabetes should not consume.
tell us again that you see a licensed M.D. for your diabetic condition and that he/she has told you to eat what you describe -

you should eat whole wheat bread not white bread. pumpernickel has less than 1 g sugar so that's fine. Italian bread has the same; some brands have 0 sugar. stay away from white bread. limit carbs.
"generic" cheerios have 0 sugar per serving. name brand Cheerios has 3 grams per serving. if ur a diabetic you choose the lower(est) sugar load per serving. therefore you dont buy the Cheerios you buy the store brand: Walmart, kroger, whatever.
Chobani makes 0 sugar yougurt. in several flavors. it also has 0 fat. eat that.
follow the serving size numbers for carbs. for example, if the cereal is 1 serving= 1 1/3 cup of cereal, just do 1 cup. that way you are guaranteed to be below the serving size.
there are plenty of 0 sugar sweets. russel stover makes their version of "M&Ms". Hershey itself sells 0 sugar chocolate bars;these are mini bars. Reeses peanut butter cups also sells 0 sugar. Like above, follow the serving size.
this isnt dificult. exercise self-discipline and self-control over what you eat, when you eat, and how much. -

You are overly, and erroneously, concerned that you won't eat enough food and will end up getting hungry later and binge on sweets.
All you have to do is eat smaller, healthier meals that are lower in carbohydrates and fats. Wait.
If hours go by and you feel your blood sugar dropping, eat one small snack.
They have devices now that you can wear on your arm, like patches, that will send your blood sugar reading directly to your phone, so you don't have to keep pricking your finger.
Having diabetes is dangerous enough as it is, but eating the foods you do, and in the quantities that you do, and as often as you do, and given that you've stopped
ALL
of your medication, โ all of these things are very dangerous for you, Christina. Do you understand the dangerous repercussions?
It's okay for you to get hungry. It's not going to hurt you to let your stomach empty itself out before stuffing it with food again. You don't have to eat so much all the time that you're always stuffed. In fact, that is not healthy for you or anyone else.

Same. With whole fruit, you get the fibre as well which slows down the sugar absorption. Plus, the time it takes to eat fruit means you're only eating 1/2 - 1 piece of fruit. When someone drinks a glass of fruit, they're consuming several pieces of fruit without the fibre. That's a total sugar dump into your system. Very unhealthy.

I don't drink juice. I eat the whole fruit.
A smoothie doesn't count as
"juice"
?
I liked your "
