I'm learning more and more about the ones I have. They certainly do not behave like they did when I saw them at the pet store inside that huge pet box.
So..I fell asleep and had a nap cuz I was up until about 3am this morning.
And then I removed the towel from their cage and opened the blinds so that they knew it was time to wake up even though they really hadn't slept all night cuz I kept peeking through the towel on them to see if they were asleep.
Then I went out for an appointment. I get back and sit down. They started chirping at me. I got up to cook my breakfast.
They watched me eat and started chirping again. Then they started eating their millet while I was eating my breakfast.
So then I put YouTube videos on and fell asleep on the sofa. YouTube is on auto play.
I woke up to here mine going crazy!!
Apparently this video is on. It is of budgies socializing. So then mine start moving around their cage, chirping, eating millet and grooming each other.
I think the chirping means something.
It's a language!!! And the sequence of chirps and squeaks is like them speaking!!
My birds started doing the same thing these birds were doing without even seeing the tv screen. -

Well…if they die. I will not buy anymore birds. That's for sure. Cuz these birds seem like they did not want to leave that pet store at all.
I feel like I got cheated out of my money. They shouldn't be selling birds that don't want to leave the pet store. -

I opened their cage door to see if they wanted to stretch their wings.
The YouTube is still playing on the TV.
Indigo became so curious to find the sound of the other birds that he flew out of the cage. Now he can't get back inside!
He can't fly very high at all. I wonder if the pet store clipped their wings??
And Sapphire saw Indigo leave the cage but she will not follow. She's just chirping at Indigo from inside the cage.
Maybe she is calling for him to return.
I'm just gonna let him figure it out for a while.
He seems to be flying a little high and higher with each jump. -

I threw a towel over Indigo and then gently picked him up and transferred him back into his cage because he didn't want my help and I have company arriving soon. I don't want Indigo to fly out when I open the door to let my company inside.

They are learning how to chatter!! I hear them over there together but I'm not sure if it's Sapphire or Indigo making the noise.
Finally!
It's hard teaching budgies from pet stores.
This is the tree branch I placed in their cage so that they can move from one side to the opposite side of their cage.
