It's not that unusual for a European like you.

Yeah that's pretty much what we have here, street bums who sometimes get a bit too much. The only time I really had a problem was a few months ago when I was approached by someone and I just said 'no, sorry' as he asked for whatever he asked for (I had my headphones in and didn't hear) and he shoved me in the chest. I was so angry but I would say that was probably a rarity and mostly even though they may be loud and stuff, usually I have never actually felt threatened.

Happy Valentine's!
Yeah I've never really felt unsafe but have had a couple of incidents with drunk guys being too much but mostly I think it's ok. Or at least I would definitely say it has a safer vibe from the part of London I came from

You like France? It seems everyone else here hates France and the French? Maybe it's just that Americans are critical of everyone else. It's a bit ironic that they are not well liked by the rest of the world in general.

France is beautiful and I love it here! Even coming coming from London, I have never seen such amazing architecture and the history and also such beautiful towns, beaches, hills! And the climate is amazing. I've never really heard of people hating France or the French generally but I suppose there will always be those stereotypes thrown around. Also, I've only ever felt completely welcomed here and that is despite my terrible grasp of the language.
