Exactly and that makes us look like hypocrites when our Gov. says **** like, "How dare they be in our airspace and violate it while spying on us!"
We do BOTH of those things to other countries ALL the time.
I have doubts it was a spy balloon.
If it was then they would have shot it down before getting here over the Pacific.
Unless they did not see it, but I bet they did.
This is all just one big lie they came up with to smear the Chinese, I think.
And what good will that do since we will keep on trading with them and sending our jobs to them so they can keep on making cheap stuff that we will keep on buying?
China is not as much of an enemy as they are trying to get us to think they are after all.

Stop buying their cheap junk and buy durable quality goods instead
Sadly, America outsourced its manufacturing decades ago. That "cheap junk" from China (and elsewhere) keeps millions of cash-strapped Americans believing that they're living the good life and it keeps mega-stores like Walmart in business. -

By identifying certain select common use items that are rarely changed in design and producing durable long lasting versions to replace cheap low durability versions we could knock china right out of select portions of the market. China would have to lower prices and sell those products to 3rd world buyers.
