That's a Japanese bed and not a couch. (Same for day-bed, but some ppl use it as such!) Someone gave me one and I love it. More comfortable than a bed, no coils, no box spring, you put it on the floor.
I like the ones that are seen in old movies, where 1920's ladies use to lay (lie?) and sprawl their long dress on. They usually have a curly armrest, against which they slump.

YIKES! That looks so uncomfortable… and dangerous to sleep on that! It slippery and high. Slippery when high!
Plus I hate black in decor. Great for clothes, though!
