Has anyone tried linen sheets?

I'm contemplating getting them and would like some input on linen sheets. Also bamboo sheets. I currently found a great source of all-cotton sheets that are very comfortable. I have 3 sets that I swap out so I always have one that I can put on the bed while one is in the wash.
I've been reading some interesting health benefits to linen, however.

I just ordered some. I found some from Normandy. There are some Belgian, others from France, and some Egyptian. I had only heard of Egyptian cotton before. I was reviewing the various linens and found the Normandy ones looked like they'd suit me better. They're finer and silkier.
I'm just like you. I only use a bottom sheet and no matter the season, I use summer weight (very light) thin, cotton comforters. I don't like the feeling of a top sheet over me, and the comforters are so lightweight, they're easy to toss into the washer and dryer.
This will be my first experience with linen, however. They arrive in 48 hours!
All my sheets, blankets and towels have to be white or natural.

I only sleep on 100% cotton now, but I'm a hot-sleeper, and was reading that linen helps to reduce that and make sleeping more comfortable. Some types of linen can be stiff, but others, the thinner types, last a very long time and are supposed to get better with each wash. We'll see.

I bought flannel before because they were cheap on clearance, but regretted it. Too hot. I need a cool material. Some simple black linen (or maybe some other material.. forgot) was way better for me.
