I believe in The Trinity. I just don't place my faith in the Church. That's all. But you would understand if you actually went to church, believed in The Trinity and read portions of The Holy Bible.
Oh yeah…and you got to intelligent. I've found that religion works best with intelligent people. Stupid people can only grasp the conceots in a very simplified generalized way which easily confuses them also.

          That's incorrect.
I don't place my faith in the Church
. Faith is something altogether different from belief. I don't even place my trust in the people going to church.
I don't have faith that church people will do right by me. I don't have faith that church people will follow Christian rules, lifestyle and God's laws. And follow the teachings of Christ.
Just because they are Christians it doesn't mean that they are qualified to do anything Jesus or God Himself can do. They are only followers.
Church people judge each other. They are fake. They judge the world. They are fickle. Most of time they are illiterate.
I'm through with The Church. The only reason Church exists is because God saw that some people needed a house for worshipping Him.
I don't trust The Church either.

There's nothing wrong with not believing in organized religion, it has many problems, but you might find that some of these people that have walked away are more spiritual and do believe in a God just not an organized fashion.
I know this from first-hand experience.
            The reports won't show that.

Or the research does show that, and that's why the number is high.

Some of them are. Not all.
Blanket statements like that are the real scourges. You should know better.

Pew actually did some research on this recently and found that religiosity in the US was about 70%. It was somewhere around 65% Christian, with every other major religion being 1% each.
This is either poor research, where they polled 1000 people in rural Alabama, or they're including agnostics like me.
Anybody with a logical brain knows agnosticism is the correct answer, by the way. It's stupid to think there is, or there isn't, a god. You have no evidence either way.

81% of U.S. adults that have a landline and bothered to not only answer the survey but also bothered to answer the phone, so < 8% of the overall population
