      Enzo Castellari told me that the bloke was playing drums as they were setting up the scene to be shot that day and Enzo wanted him in the scene.

            True ! and that is confirmed by Castellari himself on the audio track of the DVD of the film ! Great call on his part : they show up that day and the guy is there playing drums and instead of telling him to go play somewhere else, Castellari brilliantly decides to PUT HIM IN THE SCENE !! With no explanation whatsoever about WHO IS THIS GUY (in the film) ?? WTF IS HE DOING THERE ?? Why is NO ONE reacting to his presence ?? ;-)) VERY GUTSY directorial move here which totally makes the scene ! (nice solo too !) Thsi is so unique that I HAD to write about it (and include an excerpt of that scene) in my blog on Cult Movies (below):
