Years ago, I said that Trump was so popular primarily because his message is paleocon populism, which is very popular with the GOP base, but has largely been neglected by generations of neocons like George W. Bush and John McCain. Today, the GOP is the party of paleocon populism and often outright fascist populism, hence why more traditional conservatives like Mike Pence and Chris Christie got nowhere in the 2024 primaries, while the completely inexperienced and completely unqualified newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy is gearing up to be 2028's Republican presidential nominee. Ramaswamy is the absolute epitome of the new Trumpist GOP, and the vituperative attacks on him and his policies (or lack thereof) from Chris Christie, Mike Pence, and Nikki Haley are all very well-grounded, but will largely fall on deaf ears with the new GOP base. Ramaswamy is the most far-right candidate currently running for office, and his foreign policy proposals would have been absolutely unthinkable from a mainstream Republican even five years ago. He wants to cut a deal with Putin where we agree to let Putin have Ukraine if he agrees to cut ties with China (as if Ukraine is ours to give and as if Putin could ever be trusted to live up to any deal), he wants to essentially abandon Taiwan and let China invade it, and - most shockingly of all for a Republican - he wants to cut funding to Israel and basically tell them that they're on their own. While I completely agree with cutting funding for Israel (unless they become an actual democracy, which now seems extremely unlikely), letting Russia take Ukraine and China take Taiwan would send a powerful message to would-be imperialist tyrants all over the world: anything is fair game. And you can rest assured that the brutal conquests would not stop there. Like every single imperialist dictator in history, Putin will keep going until he is stopped, and so will Xi Jinping. In Ramaswamy's world, the dominant superpowers would be Russia and China, and there would be absolutely nobody standing up for democratic values (which is currently the case under Trump, but it would be even worse under Ramaswamy). Rather than being "America first", it would essentially be the end of America as we know it. Vivek Ramaswamy has absolutely no foreign policy experience of any sort, and boy, does it show. For the sake of the country (and the world), let's hope that he never steps foot into the Oval Office.

What justify the laughs? He's a piece of **** in Trump's mold and 43% if the poll support him? %20 deserved a laugh. This guy is not too far behind when you look at margin of errors plus election is 8 months out.
                    Too much uncertainty
