i always thought many of the leads weren't cast quite right in nolan's batman.
burton's batman had great casting

i think bale, neeson, both rachels and oldman were uninspired.
ledger, caine, freeman, cillian murphy, eric roberts, eckhart and hathaway were fine

Christian Bale's biggest shortcoming was that his Batman voice was unintentional comedy, at times.
Michael Keaton's was that it just wasn't physically believable that he could pick anyone up by their lapels, especially Jack's fat ass.
