Contrary to what he said when he first met Nino and the rest of the CMB, Kareem was a damn dummy!
If leaving a good professional job to work for a dope dealer wasn't dumb enough, Kareem was stupid to remain loyal to Nino after Nino nearly chopped off his hand. Had he did that to me, not only would I have had no more to do with him, but I would have taken my revenge against him for stabbing me. Of course, Kareem's stupidity catches up to him in the end after Nino turned on him in court, but Kareem deserved it. He wasn't too bright. -

Leaving his job for a life of crime I understand is more than stupid. Leaving Nino's gang is like signing his own death certificate. He knew too much about Nino and his operation so he had no choice but to either stay or have a price on his head if he leaves. Nino woulda had him offed.

The most stupid thing he does, and this is beyond belief, is to show up in court for Nino's trial. He is sitting in the audience, so he is obviously neither a witness nor arrested by then. Why, oh why, did he come to the trial?
An intelligent person would have put as much distance between himself and Nino as humanly possible, after Nino got arrested. So yes, he was very, very stupid. -

The way that Nino Brown denounced Kareem in court, it suggests that Kareem was in court because he had been
indicted
as being part of a criminal organization. THAT is why Kareem WOULD be in the courtroom.
