This isn't the South Bronx, or Canarsie or Cypress Hills or Levittown. This is Harlem, where judges let off criminals like Nino on a regular basis. The police are even accused of not doing enough by an old war vet in the beginning. It's the complacency of the police themselves.

The movie only has one flaw, it was Chris Rock's character getting back on crack and his face he makes. He's like a little kid who's crying but no sound comes out, looks too fake. Lol

The first one is not really unrealistic. It's clear Nino hates Kareem, and doesn't wanna listen to anything he says, so that's Nino's fault.
