I went in with high expectations and found the movie to be silly and forgettable. It was billed as a horror thriller but was really just a predictable action movie.

Many Nicolas Cage movies are like that…at least he entertains, sometimes to the point of being wacky as if he's on cocaine.

Yes, honestly I think Cage gave a fine performance. It was the script that was a let-down. I was expecting something terrible to happen to his family.

It was written by the guy who wrote Se7en, which was a massive hit. They expected this movie to have similar success, but the studio messed with the script.
