It depends on what you want to see. It is not a horror movie but more an elegant, romantic ghost story. The people I saw it with, and myself, we loved it. It is very different, which is one of the things we really enjoyed.

if you're going into it thinking it's going to be scary, you're going to be disappointed. There were too many cheesy parts in it. Unnecessary attempts at being scary that did nothing for the film. My group did not enjoy it at all.
We saw this last night during the Dallas International Film Festival and it was not well received. The writer/director did a Q&A and at first no one had anything to say, then people were asking a lot of 'why did you feel the need to do this' questions. -

I'd like to counter this, we were at the Dallas Screening and the audience responded very positively to the movie. People laughed and jumped during the movie. I saw a few people with tears. And once the questions got going, the Q&A was very engaging, as was the director. It is always interesting to see how different people see the same thing in different ways. I think a lot of people were taken with the movie and as soon as it was over were still contemplating it. A number of people did not ask questions but had really wonderful responses they wanted to relate. And the questions I remember were wanting to find out how the filmmakers came up with so many original ideas. This seems to be a movie people are going to be very split over, which to me is a sign they tried something different. They certainly succeeded with my crowd.

It's worth watching if you're into deliberately paced and quietly atmospheric sort of horror films. I dig that kind of stuff, so I liked it a lot.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
